River Plate have always been one of the best clubs in Argentinian football but in 2011 troubles started occurring. Managers left and debt troubles piled up and surprisingly River Plate managed to get relegated from the top division. In English football this would be like Arsenal getting relegated or something like that. Although this season they have won the second division and come straight back up again.
