Latvia Home 2006

ラトビア06-07ADIDAS赤赤赤.jpg

Flag of Latvia

First international: Latvia 1-1 Estonia (1922)

Biggest win: Latvia 9-0 Estonia (1942)

Biggest loss: Sweden 12-0 Latvia (1927)

Most capped: Vitalijs Astafjevs (167 caps)

Top scorer: Maris Verpakovskis (28 goals)

Star player: Artjoms Rudnevs (Hamburg)

Most people would see Latvia as one of the lesser teams in Europe. But in 2004 they managed to qualify for the European Championship which was a surprise to everyone. They did not manage to get out the group but played well and did not disgrace themselves. This shirt has a weirdly designed collar though for some reason but is a nice feeling shirt when worn

Flag of England

First international: Scotland 0-0 England (1872)

Biggest win: Ireland 0-13 England (1882)

Biggest loss: Hungary 7-1 England (1954)

Most capped: Peter Shilton (125 caps)

Top scorer: Bobby Charlton (49 goals)

Star player: Wayne Rooney (Manchester United FC)

This shirt was quite cheap and I didn't think many people would have Darius Vassell on the back of an England kit. So being a bit random I decided to buy it.

Harchester United

A few years ago Sky one used to have a TV programme called Dream Team. It was about a made up football team (Harchester United) and basically followed the team and what the players got up to on their days off and stuff like that. I never really watched it but it was quite big for a bit I do believe. Well one of my family members was moving house and when packing she found this shirt that was given to her by her friend that used to work on the set of Dream Team, as she did not want it I was then given this nice shirt so I have to thank her for finding this for me.

Antigua and Barbuda Home 2012

First international: Trinidad and Tobago 11-1 Antigua and Barbuda (1972)

Biggest loss: Trinidad and Tobago 11-1 Antigua and Barbuda (1972)

Most capped: Ranjae Christian (43 caps)

Top scorer: Peter Byers (32 goals)

Star player: Mikele Leigertwood (Reading FC)

Antigua and Barbuda last year managed to get up to 83rd in the FIFA world rankings, for a population estimated around 81,800 I find that quite a good achievement. They recently got through to the second stage of CONCACAF World Cup qualification and after 2 games sit at the bottom of the table with 1 point.
This shirt is newly released by Peak sports USA and again I have to thank Eric for sourcing it for me so check out his collection to by clicking his link at the bottom of the page.

You can now buy the shirt at this online shop.

Belize Away 2012

                      Belize National Football Team

Biggest loss: Mexico 7-0 Belize (2008)

Most capped: Elroy Smith (16 caps)

Top scorer: Deon McCaulay (8 goals)

Star player: Deon McCaulay (Deportes Savio)

Belize according to the rankings are the worst central American side. They only played their first international in 1995 which was 15 years after gaining independence from the United Kingdom. They've achieved an all time high FIFA ranking of 134.

This is the rather are home shirt for the nation of Belize. They haven't really done anything notable in football but I have to thank my Canadian friend Eric for this shirt. You can view his blog by clicking on his link at the bottom of the page.

England Home 2002

England photo before beating Germany 5-1

Flag of England

This shirt was worn during England's unsuccessful 2002 World Cup campaign. The qualifying campaign to get there was more memorable though with a 5-1 win over Germany and then possibly the best ever solo performance from David Beckham managed to get a draw vs Greece which automatically qualified England that year. But then Ronaldinho was the problem as his free kick went over Seaman and knocked the English out.

VFL Bochum Home 1998

Well this is probably the craziest design kit I have. I saw it on ebay and just had to buy it even if I do not know much about the German team VFL Bochum. They did have Turkish legend Yildiray Basturk at the time this shirt was used but have never been a big force in German football. I don't think I have ever seen a rainbow design on a shirt before though so I just had to grab it off ebay when I had the chance.

Liverpool 3rd 2010

Dirk Kuyt celebrating his 102nd minute penalty against Arsenal.

This is actually a techfit shirt. I only found this out when I put it on and it is super tight. Unfortunately I do not have the best of bodies to pull off a techfit shirt but they often cost a lot and because the seller did not list that it was techfit on ebay I managed to get it really cheaply so a good buy after all.

Mexico 1998 Home

Flag of Mexico

First international: Guatemala 2-3 Mexico (1923)

Biggest win: Mexico 13-0 Bahamas (1987)

Biggest loss: England 8-0 Mexico (1961)

Most capped: Claudio Suarez (178 caps)

Top scorer: Jared Borgetti (46 goals)

Star player: Javier Hernandez (Manchester United FC)

This is the fantastic shirt worn by the Mexicans in the 1998 world cup. The Mexicans are currently Gold Cup champions and seem to make it through most group stages in the World Cup but are yet to mount a series push for the cup yet. They have actually made 2 Copa America finals despite being in North America. They are the most successful North American side having won the Confederations Cup once, Gold Cup nine times and having made 14 world cup appearances. I have to thank my Mexican friend Enrique for finding me this shirt and getting it sent to me. You can view his collection by clicking on his link at the bottom right of the page.

Isle of Man Home 2012

Flag of Isle of Man

First international: Isle of Wight 1-0 Isle of Man (1993)

Biggest win: Isle of Man 13-0 Hitra (1999)

Biggest loss: Jersey 5-1 Isle of Man (1993)

This is the shirt for the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man is probably most famous for holding the TT race which is often branded the most dangerous race and with roughly around 240 deaths at the TT I can see why it is branded that. I really like how on this shirt they have put the footballs on each of the legs on the badge to. Isle of Man often play in the Island games with teams like Shetland, Guernsey, Jersey but overall this is a nice shirt.

Oman Home 2007

Flag of Madagascar

First international: Sudan 15-0 Oman (1965)

Biggest win: Oman 12-0 Laos (2001)

Biggest loss: Libya 21-0 Oman (1966)

Most capped: Fawzi Bashir (98 caps)

Top scorer: Hani Al-Dhabit (46 goals)

Star player: Ali Al-Hasbi (Wigan Athletic)

The country of Oman is the only FIFA affiliated country that begins with O. That was a pretty useless bit of information but they are home to Wigan goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi. Based in the middle east they are not one of the bigger footballing nations but it is different seeing an international shirt with sponsorship on.

These nice shirts belong to the country of Nepal. Nepal is landlocked between China and India and is famous for having 8 of the 10 tallest mountains in the world including Mount Everest. It is also the only country to have a flag which isn't rectangular. These shirts were good value from a website called Goal Nepal. The delivery was very quick and the service very good as well. Soccer Aid Rest of the World 2012 Shirt

Soccer aid is a charity football match where England take on the Rest of the World. Celebrities and past football players play in the event organised by Robbie Williams to gain money for the charity UNICEF. This shirt actually came to me as a bit of a surprise as I ordered one before but when it arrive it was the wrong product. I got a refund in store and didn't expect to get another shirt sent to me but then this arrived today as a pleasant surprise.

Flag of Iran

First international: Afghanistan 0-0 Iran (1941)

Most capped: Ali Daei (149 caps)

Top scorer: Ali Daei (109 goals)

Iran have won 3 Asian cups in their time and qualified for 3 world cups. I was recommended to get this from an Iranian guy at a kebab van so I did. Ali Daei is in fact the all time top scorer in international football for Iran.
